Woman targeting sleeping truck drivers to rob


SCIO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Washtenaw County Sheriff's investigators are warning truck drivers to lock their doors when they're sleeping in the back of their cabs.

Since mid-July, an unidentified woman has been sneaking into unlocked cabs to steal cash and credit cards.

At least 12 truck drivers have been robbed by the woman who usually strikes at night.

The truck drivers were parked at the TA truck stop and a Pilot Travel Center off of Baker Road in Scio Township just south of Dexter.

Derrick Jackson, Washtenaw County Sheriff Director of Community Engagement, released a photo of the suspect who is described as a black female in her 40s. Click on video above to see photo and more details.
