Found this site when researching the DeLay hub-bub. Yup, #1 spender is a Texan, just not DeLay, not a Rep...

But, interesting reading anyway.

I whole heartedly agree.. It was just the DeLay thing that got me looking for the "spin" that seems to be put on each political witch hunt.

The only side I take is for the Taxpayer (us)

Exactly Dennis-

On a more biased note..lol This is why I still don't understand WHY the republicans ARE supporting Bush! Big government spending (pork) is at its peak under his administration and as I said so many times before, being fiscally conservative was one of the major attributes of their party!

Nancy, I read somewhere that approx 35% of each party will vote for their representative, regardless. The other 30% are the thinking people. They want to know issues & proposals, & will base their vote accordingly.

Me? I've been watching politicians since I was old enough to be drafted (1969). Since Reagan was a first termer, the republicans have been a tax and spend party. It happened twice under Reagan, once under "read my lips" Bush#1. Both hit me severly in the ass pocket. So far, GWB has only spent, but I don't think he's finished yet. 3 1/2 years to go.

Many more, on both sides, need to learn the old addage, "watch what they do, not what they say"

Only then, will there be any reform from the spenders of both parties.

Dennis

BTW, I'm looking for the actual bill before the senate, sponsored by Kennedy & McCain, allowing for illegal amnesty. I read the WP article Thursday, but the actual bill is not on line, yet.
