Hehe.. we usually arent there long enough to get creeped out. we stay busy at the pottery shop across the street from the pilot at exit 13. you could spend two hours in there and still not see everything. Great gifts and low prices.

oHHHHH, I LOVE THAT PLACE !! I think it's called Craven's pottery.
I always come home with a sleeper full of stuff. Even came home with
one of those terra-cotta Chimenea's in the cargo box once.

How about the dirt cheap prices on all those beautiful waterfalls and
fountains. Picked one up there for $100 that I couldn't find up north
for anything less than $350.

Now you've got me wishin' for a load to Laredo !

Maverick describes it as a Mexican Fireplace.

It similar to a very large clay vase with a hole in the front of
it where you would put firewood in it to burn. We have it
on our deck and it's great on a cool evening when you
want to sit outside.

Go to best-in-patio-furniture.com. They have lots of pics
of them.

Take a look at these sites sidcar. I was curious too. This first site shows chimenia candle holders. I'm guessing that's what their talking about. The third site is really good.

Well... we got loaded out of Pharr, TX with shutters going to Orlando. Heading home after that for a couple weeks. We are burnt out, its been 2 and a half months since we seen the ol' shack. Will take pics of chimeneas but The Arkmeister wil have to post em for me. :paranoid:

OK...here we are...anyone down this way for the weekend???

05-29-2005, 06:22 AM
Hey Zings!

How do you like your new truck? We almost went to Laredo this weekend...if we knew you were going to be there we would have taken the load!

05-29-2005, 11:31 AM
So far so good...the sink is a dream come true. Its makes life out here alot easier. :D We had the Onan quiet power 5500 generator put on with the rooftop air and its the cats a$$. We are actually sitting in Laredo with the truck off and clothes on which is the opposite of most trips down here. Glenda has it looking so cozy in here, I don't even miss home (yet). Wish we could have met up down here but we'll get together again I'm sure. Take care.

Gonna be back down there for Thursday A.M. delivery. Anyone make it down thatta way yet? Gonna meet up with our good friends, Washywoman and Red, but hey, the more the merrier.

06-04-2005, 04:53 PM
Anyone heading down this way this weekend or for Monday delivery? We are down here so much that the waiter at the Golden Corral welcomes me by saying "que paso, gringo trucker"....I about fell on the floor laughing the first time he said it. the second time I felt at home :yikes:

Application for Mexican citizenship has been approved but yet I'm still scared to go home to Monterrey.

Man...I'm cracking myself up today.

Time for a nap I guess....toodles.

The Onan unit with the rooftop air and the sink sound wonderful. You don't realize how much you miss a sink until you have to brush your teeth.
