WiFi ready laptops

For my next computer I am considering one with a built in WiFi card. I cant seem to find information in the builders specs as to weather you can add a external antenna.

I presently use a card and antenna from Net Stumbler.The antenna extends range by about 50%.

I have yet to see one that does. I just replaced mine with a ABG card (latest and greatest they say) and noticed it's got antenna connectors that lead up to the screen area. One antenna on each side. However, the outside antenna will still kick the internal ones butt.

Use the card you have in your new laptop, you can disable the internal one.

Just Got my new Dell 700 W/built in WiFi. It is awesome. No need to get out the Card and use the exterior antenna.
