I'll direct you to a post I made in the round table two weeks ago. I wanted to tell you that Jim contacted Fed Ex on Monday October 30 to inquire about these new fees at the border. He spoke with someone in the safety dept and was told that they know nothing about it. The guy said he'd had quite a few calls on it and when Jim asked if he had started a list of contractors that DON'T want these fees taken out automatically the guy answered with a duhhh NO!!!
Update: Jim called again today, this is almost 2 weeks later and this guy STILL has no idea what's going on. Oh yea, I'll be seeing my boss today so maybe I'll find out something!
I don't know how you feel about answers like these but in my opinion this is totally unacceptable. Ok, maybe you don't know the answer but I'd like to think in 2 weeks time you could find out!! This comes from the same company that expects nothing but the BEST service possible to their customers from their contractors.
Who the heck is minding the store over there in Akron?? Oh and the last question this guy asks Jim: "do you want me to get back to you on this"?
