Well got called at 4:30am this morning to be told that my air expedite
freight missed it's plane in memphis and my run for this morning was
cancelled.
Had 2 dry runs the week before last too, and at least 3 the month before,
was wondering if I have a black cloud over my head or is this about average.
Also alway's seems to be on the good runs and never the one's you wished
they would cancel.

Well I came to this part of the forum to see how wonderful it was over at FECC. I dont know if we all should be scared or what but I have had the same problems and it was getting to the point where we were thinking of taking our selves back to FECC. We are with panther elite services.
Question: When your loads cancel, do they tell you ahead of time or wait for you to get there and find out for yourself?
We accepted a load that picked up the next morning. Got to Pu shipper said he called and canceled 2 hours after they booked the load and why were we here.
Then we told P2 they had us get the contact name and made us wait there for them to see why there was no load. Then they never called us back to release us. We left after about 45 min then next thing we know back at T-stop we are being offered another load that wont fit in our truck like they dont have our dimensions on record or something. Then 2 hours later another that wont fit.
Do they even bother anymore?

I think everyone has a Uniqe experience with their carriers....
I think if I remember correctly... we've had one load cancel on us... but they called us immediatly and let us know... I could be mistaken... as it's not usual for us to have anything cancel...
Other then that.... I thought I was seeing a trend in freight going down, but when I actually go back and look at the numbers, we've stayed pretty consistant......
Even on those weeks where I may get stuck for a day or so... I manage to hook a decent run that levels my week out....

Haven't had to find out from the shipper yet that a load has cancelled,
although fedex freight did load my freight onto someone else's truck
recently but luckily i caught him before he left with it.
Did have one cancel out West one time a couple of years ago due to
the dimension problem but they caught it before we had driven very far
if I recall, was something that wouldn't fit the door opening, we offered
to saw it in half but they didn't find that acceptable......
