looking for a job

How does one get into this type of business? I have class a cdl but I don't like to drive the big combo rigs. I think I would be more comfortable with straight truck or even a van. I love the travel and driving and staying out 2 to 3 weeks at a time is no problem. Can any of you steer me in the right direction?

I hear ya. After living in a semi, driving a straight truck is like zipping around in a sports car.

Wanting to learn more about this business is easy. If you live near or know of some truck stops, go to them and talk to some of the drivers. At the bottom of the forums page are some company forums, like Con-way, FedEx, Panther and so on. Give each company a call and ask them to send you an info pack. This will also give you some ideas.
