EXPEDITER NEWS : FedEx to Spend $2.6 Billion on Air Fleet Upgrades
FedEx will purchase and upgrade about 90 Boeing 757-200s to replace its fleet of Boeing 727s, Bloomberg reported Monday.

It never came in my mind that Fedex CC cuts the Fuel Surcharge at about 42 % from O/O 's Revenue.
Paying Tolls , base charge , line haul and so on, is only blowing smoke in our eyes.
The Owners and drivers pay the fuel and this money is charged to the customers for high fuel prices.
I have a meeting in November with Fedex CC and will make no further comments until after the meeting.
I know that already Fedex O/O changed to other carriers and to those O/O who have that in mind, I would advice to wait until Fedex hears all the facts from Fleet owners and O/O.
It would not be the first time that Fedex reverses a decision.
It also bothers me that our loads are going to Fedex Freight and to that new purchased LTL carrier. This is not only a play with numbers.
You already see lines of new trucks in a FEDEX Terminal in Memphis, all with sleepers. If you watch the roads, you can also see the first reefer trucks from Fedex Freight.
We already sold 4 trucks and reduced our fleet to five trucks.

It looks like FEDEX CC ( Surface expedite ) is on the termination list.

I will talk about all the emails you guys send me over the last weeks as well. Feel free to post it here that safes me alot of time.

It is really a shame to hear this. I have had a real problem with FedEx cc taking 42% of everything off the top and never told any of this in oreintation. This other news is making it very difficult for me to stay with a company that might possibley go away.
These discussions you have in November Harry are maybe a little too late. We have had the smoke screen before and I believe it will happen again. I am hoping that those that do decide to stay with FE CC are treated fairly but to not be told things until they happen is a bunch os BS! If I had known we would only get 58% of total charges on the frieght we haul I may have never been on with FE CC. The other thing is that NONE of this is covered in orientation and you find out as you go. You talk to your cordinator and it is the same story. I am just so tired of the BS going on and told that is the way things are done.
When you haul hazmat you are only paid $48.50 of the $75.00 the customer is charged if they are even charged. Doesn't make sense to me if there is a hazmat load the customer should be charged no matter what. That is not the case and you won't find that out unless you ask up front before accepting the load.
And I always get a call saying we really need your help on this and could you do it? Well, that is over! I have been told that the dispatchers cannot make or keep promises. I have bent over backwards doing pickups were we are just able to make the pickup on time. If we have so many trucks out there and I have to bust my butt to get there something is not right with this picture!
Harry, when you talk to the head people there make sure you ask them also if we are getting all charges we are supposed to, I have a very uneasy feeling we do not see all the money charged for loads. I don't like to say it but with everything else going on is it possible?
I would encourage all other drivers with Custom Critical to write and post your complaints no matter how small on this site, the voices of drivers could help make certain things happen and the only way it can be done is for you all to make a posting!

I agree with what you are saying and look forward to the results of your meeting.
I am trying to err on the side of positive, alot of people have staked their lives on it.
