EXPEDITER NEWS : FedEx to Spend $2.6 Billion on Air Fleet Upgrades
FedEx will purchase and upgrade about 90 Boeing 757-200s to replace its fleet of Boeing 727s, Bloomberg reported Monday.
It never came in my mind that Fedex CC cuts the Fuel Surcharge at about 42 % from O/O 's Revenue.
Paying Tolls , base charge , line haul and so on, is only blowing smoke in our eyes.
The Owners and drivers pay the fuel and this money is charged to the customers for high fuel prices.
I have a meeting in November with Fedex CC and will make no further comments until after the meeting.
I know that already Fedex O/O changed to other carriers and to those O/O who have that in mind, I would advice to wait until Fedex hears all the facts from Fleet owners and O/O.
It would not be the first time that Fedex reverses a decision.
It also bothers me that our loads are going to Fedex Freight and to that new purchased LTL carrier. This is not only a play with numbers.
You already see lines of new trucks in a FEDEX Terminal in Memphis, all with sleepers. If you watch the roads, you can also see the first reefer trucks from Fedex Freight.
We already sold 4 trucks and reduced our fleet to five trucks.
It looks like FEDEX CC ( Surface expedite ) is on the termination list.
I will talk about all the emails you guys send me over the last weeks as well. Feel free to post it here that safes me alot of time.
