Fuel prices, YET ANOTHER THREAD II

While the resourses provided here and other places for fuel prices are a good place to start, as we all know, the prices change, day to day, and sometimes hour to hour.

I thought, after reading the last thread on this subject, that we could try to help each other out by posting where we last bought fuel and what the price was. If we can try to keep it fairly up-to-date it could help others in the area to decide where to buy fuel next. I realize that there are MANY factors that go into where you buy fuel and how much to buy where you are traveling thru. If this can help any of us decide where and when then it will be worth the effort for all of us.

With that being said, and knowing that it all can change overnight, I will tell you that we bought fuel in Columbia, NJ at the TA on I-78 for $3.079 on Tues 9/05 and in Girard, OH at the Pilot on I-80 for $2.819 on Fri 9/8.

The new "J" on US59 @ Splendora, Tx (40 miles N of Houston) was 2.699 this am.

you can get up to date fuel prices online at all the majors, but not
the independents.
fuel at the pilot in cartersville, ga I-75 exit 296 was 2.57 yesterday
fuel here at the petro at exit 369 on I-75/i-40 in knoxville is also 2.57
believe it's 2.55 at the pilot at exit 374
I always (if I have time) pull all the fuels prices then look to see what's
on my route and plan accordingly. Saves a few bucks here and there,
just wished i had bigger tanks to take advantage of good prices specially
when heading into price gouging areas.

We had a weekend run from Florida to California. We fueled at the "J"
for each fuel stop. The following is a list of the prices we paid:

Gulfport, MS --- $2.639
San Antonio, TX --- $2.599
Anthony, TX --- $2.719
Eloy, AZ --- $2.819

The price of fuel is still over $3.00 a gallon in California.

In Orange, Tx, across from the "J" diesel was 2.379 at the Valero last nite. It's not a truck stop, but C's & D's can get in & out ok.

Fuel is increasing in $ again in this area. The "J" by home has increased .07 cents in the last 5 days....
