We are at home now and gonna take off the rest of this month for the memorial day weekend.

I have to say that this was one of the strangest months that we have had probably since we have been in expediting. We did alot of sitting in several locations around the country, but even after having only 11 runs all month it turned out to be our best MAY ever. What made that possible was that we had quite a few very long runs this month, and we averaged 1,047 miles per run.

So that might be the secret to sucess, quality over quantity. But i really do get frustrated when we have to sit for 2 or more days in between loads. But even though we were having mechanical problems in dallas it was great meeting up with everyone for a weekend.(harry, cornerstone, bald head&wife,67 nova and his wife).

So here's hoping that june is going to be the month to stay busy ALL month, and the weekends too.

We had a similar month fewer runs that paid well but in the end had
a slightly less than average month, no real super long runs.
On Our last run we lost a third of the revenue due to a fuel leak or
we would have been right around our monthly average.
Seems like we've been sitting a day and half or so between runs lately
with occasional back to back runs.
Have gotten a couple of runs that FedEx freight couldn't deliver fast enough given to us, pay was okay but not exceptional.
Actually the super long runs to california eat up the entire week between
driving and then sitting waiting for something heading east, or the sneeky
dispatchers changing the delivery date after you have been underway for
a day or so.
