Well just to update you on my mechanical as#$% of a van  Just kidding shes not bad-- just odd things go wrong.
I went to a junkyard and they said they didnt have anything for me-- but looked on some site and told me that another junkyard in town lists van seats. So I went there. And what do ya know-- a 2002 Chevy Express 2500 happens to be sitting in the back. Same interior color. Charcoal. How lucky am i? Now my next worry.... price. How much? 75 bucks. Not to shabby. I was looking for brand new seats for vans and they were up in the 100s. So hes taking it out for me and it will be ready tomorrow.
I talked to a friend of mine that does welding. He looked at the door and the hinge and said hes not sure if anything can be done. The way the hinge is bent at the break-- it would be hard to get it to go back together so he can weld it. He said he had to work and he'd look at it saturday. He said if he couldnt weld it the least he could do is get it so the door sits right and closes for now. I took pics while at a truck stop-- be waiting for those :D . So I figure if he cant fix it-- the door isnt an emergency so as long as it looks ok... good enough for now.
Of course... I know where I can get a cargo door from a 2002 CHevy express junk truck....
I was even thinking of talking to the junkyard guy to see if he would sell me the whole van-- and have a parts truck :D.
